We just received a sample of some great quality seatbelt webbing to test for use as tree straps. It's 1 1/2" wide, very thin and flexible and weighs in at just 9.6 grams per foot. I am considering offering it as a alternative option to our regular 1" webbing. Would you like to see wider straps be available? 2" Webbing Straps
$0.69 - $0.89
2" Polyester seatbelt-style webbing makes incredibly durable straps that protect the growth layers of trees better than any other material. Check your local state and park system regulations...some agencies require 2-inch wide straps. We build your straps custom to order.

I would be interested in seeing wider straps available. Especially since it would assist in convincing park rangers of the efforts hammock owners to leave no trace.

I would love to see wider straps available. The Douglas Fir and Redwood here still have their bark indented more that I would like to see with the 1" straps.

It is 100% polyester rated at over 2500 pound test. I hope to be able to get a box on the way to us in the next week or two. We will likely take pre-orders on it so we can get right to work when the shipment arrives. I will update the blog when it goes on sale.
