I wanted to get a quick update out to everyone waiting on their Anniversary Sale Gear. First off Thank you to everyone that ordered some gear from us over the sale and over the past 4 years. This years sale was HUGE! We sold more gear this year than on any of the previous years sale and broke several records as well as hitting some major milestones for us during the sale. Just a few of those milestones were: Our 7000th order, our 700th Facebook Fan, 118 Jarbidge Quilts sold on the Sale, 165 Whoopie Kits sold on the sale, 275 Orders placed during the sale. As you can imagine for a shop that usually keeps 4 very busy on a normal day to day basis this is a huge amount of orders to fill. The good news is that less than a week after the end of the sale we are close to half way through all of these orders. The tough part is that means we still have a lot of gear to make and ship. We are working tirelessly to get as much gear out the door every day of the week as possible. For those folks that are not familiar with how we process orders here is the basics: We work very hard to make and ship orders on a first come first served basis. It's the most fair way we can process orders. The first order placed on the sale was the first made and shipped. We make your gear to order. We cut the fabric, sew the seams, run the cord through the stuff sacks, tape the box and hand it to the person behind the counter at the post office. What this means for you getting your gear, Well we are getting 8-10 quilts made most days of the week, another 10-15 sets of whoopie kits most days and we are also working to get orders that did not have sale items on track with as little wait time as possible. Now some info about some of the Bonus items: We have sent out several quilts that are upgraded, several of the Tenkara Kits that have been upgraded to the next longer rod, some yummy treats, stickers, and to a handful of folks a closed cell foam foot pad that will compliment the Jarbidge very well. I cut the pads with a slight tapper to them based on my personal pad that I have been using as a foot pad in the hammock for the past two years. It is made from a very high quality and very light weight foam. I have used it down to 20F and been plenty warm so it will keep your toes toasty on a cold night. For those that have randomly received the pads, I would love any feed back. We are considering stocking these as a regular item and I would like to hear what you think. Thanks for your patience and understanding as we work though getting a mountain of gear made and shipped. P.
