The New River underquilt is the full length synthetic underquilt foundation of the KAQ line. It is designed to fit all gathered end type hammocks. If you have a Speer, Clark, Claytor, ENO, Black Bird etc. and need a hammock underquilt, this is the one for you. Construction of the New River Underquilt is similar to the Potomac, but this quilt is rectangular and flat. In a pinch, you could use this as a top quilt. The New River UnderQuilt does not use shock cord around the perimeter for a suspension system. There is a drawstring channel on each end as well as shock cord loops and mini carabiners that attach the under quilt to your hammock suspension. Along each side, there are 3 grosgrain loops that can be used to help hold up the quilt. The one on the right side foot end is useful for those who have a BlackBird or other Asymmetric hammocks. This will help to keep the hammock inside the quilt during the night keeping your feet nice and warm.
